Access, not pity
The young people we work with are capable. What they are missing is a machine, a paid path, and someone who has done it. Those are things money can buy.
Youth in Tech is a Vertex Acquisitions program. It exists to put the next generation of builders, most of them from communities that tech has not reached evenly, ahead of the curve instead of behind it.
Vertex grew out of door-to-door field work and a founder who taught himself to build with AI while doing it. The program is the same lesson, offered years earlier.
Vertex Acquisitions helps field-service businesses modernize how they win customers and run their work, with AI as leverage and a person still in charge. Along the way the founder kept meeting young people who were sharp, curious, and stuck: a phone instead of a laptop, a course they could not pay for, nobody to call when the tutorial broke.
Youth in Tech is the direct answer. Contributions from neighbors, businesses, and friends of the program pay for the device, the course, the mentor, and the first paid project. Vertex supplies the operating muscle, the business relationships, and the accountability.

The tools do the heavy lift. The person decides what to build, checks whether it is right, and ships it. We teach the deciding part first.
A laptop is a laptop and a course fee is a course fee. Wherever we can, we pay the vendor directly so a contribution turns into the exact thing it was meant for.
Goals stay labeled as goals until they are done. We publish what was funded and what came of it, with permission from the people involved.
Youth in Tech is run by Vertex Acquisitions LLC, a Georgia company. It is not a separate organization and we do not present it as one.
Contributions go to Vertex Acquisitions LLC and are spent on the five areas of the program. Vertex absorbs the overhead: the time, the tools, and the relationships with the businesses that give young people their first paid projects.
Vertex Acquisitions LLC is a for-profit company, so contributions are not tax deductible.
The program is run day to day by the founder of Vertex. Advisors and partner businesses will be listed here as they join, not before.
I taught myself to build with AI tools while working door to door and going back to school for finance. The tools let me build things I could not have built alone, and the judgment to use them well came from the work.
Young people in Georgia should get that head start years earlier than I did, with a laptop that works, a course that is paid for, a mentor they can call, and a first project that pays. That is what this program buys.

Every contribution goes to a device, a course, a mentor, a paid project, or a classroom.
